Onyejekwe emerges ADC candidate for Anambra East/West Reps seat

Hon. Chukwudi Onyejekwe of Aguleri has emerged as the African Democratic Congress (ADC) candidate for the Anambra East and West Federal House of Representatives election ahead of the 2027 general polls.
In the party primaries held across communities in the constituency, Onyejekwe polled 7,828 votes to defeat Hon. Kenechukwu Offor of Anam, who scored 624 votes.
Announcing the result, INEC representative, Mr. Kingsley Ajunwa, declared Onyejekwe winner and ADC flag bearer for the constituency.
Reacting to the victory, Onyejekwe thanked party members for their support, describing the outcome as a mandate for development and grassroots leadership.
He promised to focus on agriculture, road infrastructure, clean water, youth empowerment and socio-economic development if elected.
The ADC candidate also said the large turnout during the primaries showed that the people were ready for change ahead of the 2027 general election.
INEC disclosed that 4,323 voters were accredited out of 4,668 registered voters, representing a 92.6 percent turnout.
