Leaders and stakeholders in Dunukofia Local Government Area of Anambra State have appealed to political parties to zone the 2027 House of Representatives ticket for the Dunukofia/Njikoka/Anaocha (DNA) Federal Constituency to Dunukofia.

In an open letter, the group—comprising traditional rulers and Presidents General—lamented what they described as 28 years of exclusion from representation in the National Assembly, noting that the seat has rotated only between Njikoka and Anaocha LGAs.

They argued that conceding the ticket to Dunukofia would correct the imbalance, promote unity, and strengthen fairness within the constituency.

According to the letter, both Njikoka and Anaocha stakeholders have expressed support for the arrangement, describing it as a step toward equity and inclusiveness.
The appeal was copied to national chairmen of major parties, including APC, APGA, ADC, PDP, LP, YPP, SDP, and ZLP.

Signatories include several traditional rulers such as Igwe Robert Eze of Ukpo and other community leaders across Dunukofia.

The leaders expressed optimism that political parties would consider their request in the interest of justice, peace, and balanced representation.
