2027: Ike Cubana steps up to reclaim Idemili’s voice in Abuja

By David Onwuchekwa

Hon. Ike Cubana has formally declared his intention to contest for the Idemili North and South Federal Constituency seat in the 2027 general elections under the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).

Speaking to journalists in Oba on Wednesday, Cubana said his decision was driven by what he described as years of poor representation and absence of impactful federal presence in the constituency.

According to him, Idemili deserves a stronger voice, strategic engagement in Abuja, and tangible democratic dividends.

He pledged to prioritize youth empowerment, attract federal infrastructure projects, facilitate employment opportunities, support small and medium-scale businesses, and ensure regular constituency engagement.

Cubana emphasized that leadership must go beyond rhetoric, promising accessibility, transparency, and measurable results.

“With the right representation, Idemili can compete with the best,” he said, assuring constituents that 2027 would mark a turning point for the federal constituency.
