The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Anambra State, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, has assured citizens that the era of empty rhetoric on development and insecurity would end once he assumes office after the November 8, 2025 election.
At a well-attended campaign rally in Omo and Anaku communities in Ayamelum Local Government Area, Ukachukwu unveiled his comprehensive development agenda for Anambra North, pledging to transform the zone through infrastructure, education, power, and job creation.
He said his assumption of office as the Governor of the State would usher in glorious moments for Ndị Anambra.
Speaking to journalists after the rally Director General of the Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu–Iyom Campaign Council, Hon. Dozie Ikedife (Jnr.) said that the APC flag bearer is determined to bring tangible development to the State to restore confidence in governance.
Ikedife further disclosed that Ukachukwu’s blueprint includes the construction of motorable road networks across Ayamelum and other parts of the State, agricultural revitalization through an agro-value chain revolution, and the establishment of an industrial park to create jobs for thousands of youths.
The Campaign Council DG added that the candidate’s assurance of 24-hour electricity supply by harnessing the Omasi Power Plant and developing the area’s gas deposits is a promise kept.
He said Ukachukwu also plans to establish a university and provide scholarships to indigent students across the zone.
“Prince Ukachukwu has vowed to make security and infrastructural development top priorities. He will protect farmlands from herdsmen attacks and create an environment where businesses and investments can thrive,” Ikedife emphasized.
Community leaders and stakeholders at the rally, including Chief Ikechukwu Maduka Nebuife (APC stalwart), John Anigbogu Icheke (former Ayamelum deputy chairman), and Eziagulu Offodile (former SDP chairman), who led his supporters into the APC at the event, expressed confidence in Ukachukwu’s leadership capacity.
They urged Ayamelum people and all Ndi Anambra to rally behind the APC candidate, insisting that his record of integrity and development-oriented vision stands in contrast to what they described as “years of unfulfilled promises under the APGA government.”
“We are no longer comfortable with APGA’s deceit. Our roads are impassable, our youths are unemployed, and our communities have been neglected. Prince Ukachukwu is a man of his word, and this is the time to deliver him to the Government House,” the stakeholders declared.
