The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Anambra State has once again proven its strength as a movement on the march, as party leaders, stakeholders, and enthusiastic supporters converged in a powerful show of force that signaled the unstoppable momentum of the party ahead of the governorship election.
The event was the inauguration of Prince Nicholas Ukochukwu-Iyom Campaign Council at the party secretariat.
The atmosphere was electric. Party flags waved high, drums echoed, and chants of “APC! Change! APC! Victory!” filled the air as thousands of loyalists thronged the venue, dancing, singing, and declaring their readiness to take back Anambra for progress and development.
Addressing the crowd, the Managing Director of Wintech, Chief Chidozie Nwankwo, delivered a fiery charge that sent waves of excitement across the gathering. With conviction in his voice, he described the APC governorship candidate, Prince Ikukuoma, as “the man anointed and prepared to lead Ndi Anambra to the promised land.”
But Nwankwo did not stop at eulogies. He turned his message into a call to action:
“Our victory will not be written in speeches alone. Every one of you must rise! Go back to your wards, go to your streets, your compounds, your churches, your marketplaces, knock on doors and mobilize.
“Tell your neighbors that change has come, tell them that APC is the future, tell them that the time to liberate Anambra from the shackles of stagnation is now!”
The charged atmosphere was further heightened when the APC deputy governorship candidate, Senator Iyom Uche Ekwunife, mounted the podium to a thunderous ovation. Known for her fiery oratory, she wasted no time in declaring that the handwriting on the wall was clear: APC is on the rise in Anambra.
“With what we see today, there is no stopping APC in this state. We already have four lawmakers in the State Assembly, something that was once impossible. This is proof that the tide is turning. Ndi Anambra are ready for change, ready for progress, ready for Ikukuoma!” she declared, drawing chants of “Ikukuoma! Ikukuoma!” from the excited crowd.
Ekwunife went further to emphasize that APC was not coming to play politics of empty promises but to rewrite the story of Anambra.
“We are here to take over power, to unlock opportunities, to bring roads, schools, industries, and jobs to our people. The time has come to align with the federal government and bring home the dividends of democracy. No more isolation, no more stagnation—the future begins with APC!” she thundered, her words swallowed by waves of applause, drumming, and dancing.
The rally ended with renewed energy as grassroots mobilizers pledged to carry the message of hope into every corner of the state. Supporters danced in circles, waving brooms, the party’s symbol, while chanting “APC! Progress! APC! Victory!” well into the evening.
As the crowd dispersed, one message rang clear: APC is no longer just a party in Anambra, it is a movement, a force, and, in the words of one excited supporter, “the ark that will take us to the promised land under Ikukuoma’s leadership.”
