The second term bid of Hon. Nonso Chudi Atuchukwu, member representing Nnewi South 1 Constituency in the Anambra State House of Assembly, has received a major boost following his endorsement by Obataifeadi Women Group.

The group, which has over 600 members drawn from Unubi, Ekwulummili, Azigbo, Osumeyi and Utuh communities, declared support for the lawmaker during its meeting on Monday.

Convener of the group, Mrs. Ebere Mbanefo, described Hon. Atuchukwu as a promise keeper whose empowerment programmes have positively impacted widows, women and youths across the constituency.

According to her, the lawmaker placed 21 widows from the group on six-month financial support and has continued to execute people-oriented constituency projects.

She said the group decided to support his reelection because of his quality representation and commitment to the welfare of constituents.

Speaking during the meeting, Hon. Atuchukwu thanked the women for their prayers and support, assuring them that his second term would focus on consolidating the achievements of his first tenure.

He also pledged continued partnership with the women group and encouraged women to participate actively in politics.
