The Labour Party (LP) Senatorial Candidate for Anambra Central, Ven. Tochukwu Ikezue, has condemned the killing of 24 farmers by armed bandits in Zamfara State, describing the attack as a national tragedy.

Speaking in Awka, Ikezue sympathized with the victims’ families, stressing that no Nigerian should lose their life while trying to earn a living.

He urged President Bola Tinubu to take decisive action by strengthening security operations, rescuing abducted victims, and ensuring those responsible are brought to justice.

Ikezue warned that persistent attacks on farming communities threaten national food security and called for improved intelligence gathering and greater support for affected families.

He also appealed to Nigerians to remain united and continue demanding accountability in the fight against insecurity.
