The United Nigeria Coalition for Good Governance (UNCAGG), also known as the “Let’s Fix Nigeria Team,” has intensified its call for the inclusion of real-time electronic transmission of election results in the ongoing amendment of Nigeria’s Electoral Act.

The coalition, which describes itself as one of the oldest grassroots movements advocating genuine political reform, says it is currently mobilising 30 million votes in support of former Anambra State Governor, Mr. Peter Obi.
UNCAGG is a convergence of nine NGOs, cooperatives, civil society groups, and voluntary organisations drawn from across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
Led by its National Coordinator and Director-General, Dr. Chidiebere N. Uba, and National PRO/Communications Director, Comrade Mark H. Effiong, the group says it is united in its commitment to the rule of law, national security, crime prevention, good governance, and equality before the law, principles it says align with the values long promoted by Mr. Obi.
UNCAGG has consistently positioned itself at the forefront of citizen-driven democratic advocacy, championing reforms aimed at strengthening public trust in Nigeria’s electoral system.
According to the coalition, electronic transmission of results directly from polling units is no longer optional but a democratic necessity to eliminate manipulation and safeguard the sanctity of the ballot.
In furtherance of its advocacy, UNCAGG executives and members joined other concerned Nigerians on Monday, February 9, 2026, at the National Assembly in a peaceful protest over the Senate’s refusal to include real-time electronic transmission of results in the Electoral Act amendment process.
The coalition insists that credible elections must be built on transparent, verifiable, and technologically secure processes. It urged the National Assembly to legislate in the interest of the people and the integrity of elections, rather than for political expediency.
Calling on civil society organisations, youth groups, professional bodies, and democracy advocates nationwide, UNCAGG appealed for unity in peacefully demanding an electoral system anchored on integrity, transparency, and accountability.
“Nigeria deserves the best. Enough is enough. Nigerians are no longer willing to accept compromised elections,” the group declared.
