The First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has rallied Nigerian women behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid, declaring that the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda is already delivering tangible benefits to Nigerians.

Senator Tinubu spoke on Monday, October 5, at the Ahmed Bola Tinubu International Conference Centre, Abuja, during a major political gathering where more than 500 women support groups from the six geopolitical zones collapsed into the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council Women Wing.

The First Lady said the Renewed Hope Agenda 2.0, themed “From Reforms to Prosperity,” had moved beyond political rhetoric to become a reality.

“Our economy is stabilising. Inflation is coming down. Our foreign reserves are growing. Investors are returning to Nigeria. Our farmers are getting more support. Our children in the universities are now able to access student loans through the NELFUND scheme, just to mention a few,” she said.

She urged the women to return to their respective states and communities with a strong message of support for the President.
“Tell everyone as you go back to your various states that you have a leader who is bold enough to take difficult decisions in the beginning. He is a leader who can be trusted to lead us into prosperity,” she said.

Senator Tinubu announced the complete integration of independent women support groups, including Torch Bearers and others, into a unified APC structure ahead of the 2027 elections.

“What you will see on the ballot box is APC. We’re here to promote APC, nothing less. From Presidency, governorship, National Assembly and State Assembly, that is what we are here for,” she declared.

She expressed appreciation to the women for their support for the President and his administration, urging them to remain committed to the APC.

The First Lady also appealed to Nigerian women to vote for President Tinubu for a second term, saying continuity was necessary to consolidate the gains of the administration.

The summit climaxed with an endorsement of President Tinubu’s re-election bid and the empowerment of numerous women with livelihood-enhancing items.

Beneficiaries received tricycles, sewing machines, refrigerators, agricultural implements and other productive tools aimed at improving their economic independence and household incomes.

Speaking at the event, a member of the APC Presidential Campaign Council Women Mobilization Wing, Hon. Gloria Akobundu, commended Senator Oluremi Tinubu’s leadership and declared that Nigeria was firmly on the path to renewed greatness.

Akobundu congratulated the beneficiaries and urged them to make productive use of the empowerment items.

“These items are not mere gifts; they are instruments of economic liberation,” she said.

She also called on women voters, particularly those in the South-East and across the six geopolitical zones, to support the re-election of President Tinubu.

“I urge women voters everywhere to ensure the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the consolidation of the good works already set in motion,” she stated.

“Nigeria is on the path of renewed greatness. Continuity is essential if we are to complete the transformation that has begun.”

The summit attracted APC women leaders, including First Ladies of APC-controlled states, state women leaders, faith-based mobilisers and grassroots organisers.

The gathering is expected to strengthen the APC’s women mobilisation machinery ahead of the 2027 general elections, with organisers targeting millions of women voters for the Tinubu-Shettima ticket.
