In a grand celebration of faith and dedication, Sir Chima Ofiaeli (Omeluora Oraifite) a distinguished philanthropist and business magnate has urged the newly collated and installed Canons and Archdeacons to embrace God wholeheartedly in their sacred mission.
The prestigious event, held at All Saints’ Cathedral, Onitsha, was presided over by His Lordship, The Rt. Rev. Dr. Owen C. Nwokolo, Bishop on the Niger. The occasion drew a host of esteemed clergymen, dignitaries, families, and well-wishers from across the region, all gathered to witness this momentous spiritual elevation.
Sir Chima Ofiaeli, the CEO of Chimason Nig. Ltd and former President General of Bakery Material Market, Ogidi, expressed deep gratitude to God for the successful collation and installation of the clergymen. He extended heartfelt appreciation to Bishop Nwokolo for finding them worthy of this elevation and acknowledged the unwavering support of their families, friends, and well-wishers who contributed through prayers and financial backing.
Delivering his address, Omeluora Oraifite passionately encouraged the newly elevated church leaders to remain steadfast in their faith, trust in God, and uphold their calling as true ambassadors of Christ. He reminded them that leadership in the church is a call to serve, not to be served, urging them to dedicate themselves fully to spreading the Gospel with unwavering commitment.
He also invoked divine blessings, protection, and strength upon them, praying that God would equip them with wisdom and grace to excel in their spiritual assignments.
Meanwhile, Ven. Tochukwu Odiliora, Rev. Canon Onu Sylvester, Rev. Canon Ugochukwu Ogunoegbunam, and other newly elevated clergy members expressed overwhelming joy and gratitude for the honor bestowed upon them. They extended their thanks to Bishop Nwokolo and the entire Anglican community for their immense support. Additionally, they called on the youth to be responsible citizens, uphold the values of the church, and shun influences that could bring disrepute to the diocese and society.
