The Igbodike Movement, in collaboration with the Middle Belt Youths Association, Odua Youths League, Northern Youths Progressive Movement, Niger Delta Forum for Youths Empowerment, and Igbo Youths Center for Equity, held a meeting of national leaders and representatives to deliberate on the 2027 Presidential Election and the unity of Nigeria.
The meeting, convened by the National Coordinator of the Igbodike Movement at his residence, resolved as follows:
a) That the coalition of progressive pan-Nigerian groups declared its support for Southern Nigeria to complete its eight-year tenure in the presidential office, in line with the spirit of rotational presidency between the Northern and Southern regions of the country.
b) That the Pan Nigeria Coalition Movement declared its support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to complete a second tenure of four years, thereby completing the Southern region’s turn in office.
c) That the coalition would mobilize Nigerian youths across the six geopolitical zones in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s second-term bid against all opposition candidates in the 2027 general election.
d) That the coalition commended President Tinubu’s youth empowerment initiatives through broad national programmes, including the Presidential Loan and Grant Scheme for micro-enterprises, as well as the student loan programme through NELFUND.
e) That the coalition observed that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu inherited numerous challenges within the nation’s security system, which created enormous difficulties for his administration. However, his move toward the establishment of state policing, independently supervised by state governments, was described as a landmark initiative deserving national recognition. The coalition noted that localized policing would ensure quicker response times, more effective crime prevention, and stronger relationships between security personnel and the communities they serve due to better familiarity with local environments and cultures.
f) That the coalition expressed confidence in the agricultural and economic development policies of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, stating that their positive impact would continue to improve the lives and future wellbeing of Nigerians.
g) That the Pan Nigeria Coalition
Movement advised opposition presidential aspirants in the 2027 election to reconsider their ambitions, insisting that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu should complete a second tenure to consolidate ongoing economic, agricultural, and security reforms in Nigeria.
