NSCDC officer bags international award, pledges greater service

A Superintendent of Corps with the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Bayelsa State Command, Anthony Idigo, has pledged renewed commitment to duty after receiving an international leadership award.


Idigo was honoured by the Chartered Institute of Marine, Port and Terminal Management Professionals, USA, in recognition of his professionalism and leadership.


The award was presented by the Institute’s Regional Director of Training in Nigeria, Patrick Mark, at a ceremony held on March 28 in Lagos.


Speaking after the event, Idigo described the recognition as a motivation to do more, promising greater dedication in service and a continued effort to project Nigeria positively.


He also appreciated his colleagues and dedicated the award to his wife for her support.


Mark commended Idigo as a committed and reliable professional, expressing confidence that the recognition would spur him to greater achievements.
