The Anambra State Government has commenced free hypertension screening services across all government-owned health facilities, including Primary Health Centres (PHCs) and General Hospitals statewide.

Wife of the State Governor, Dr. Nonye Soludo, said the initiative reflects the commitment of the Governor Chukwuma Soludo administration to improving access to quality healthcare and promoting preventive health practices.

She urged residents to take advantage of the free screening programme, describing hypertension as one of the most common and deadliest health conditions in society.

“Visit the nearest public health facility, get screened, know your blood pressure status, and take the right steps towards a healthier and happier life,” she said.

Dr. Soludo stressed that good health remains one of the greatest investments individuals can make, encouraging citizens to embrace healthy living and regular health checks.

The government called on residents to participate in the exercise and take proactive steps towards safeguarding their health.
