Anambra Patriots on Sunday celebrated three of its members recently appointed to key positions by Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo.
Those honoured include the group’s Convener, Arch. Okechukwu Ezeobi, now Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure; Chairman of Anambra Patriots, Ozo Chief Ejiamatu Damian Enekwechi, appointed President of Anambra Country Club, Awka; and Hon. Chukwuemeka Fred Agbata, reappointed Managing Director/CEO of the Anambra State ICT Agency.
Speaking during the event at the Anambra Patriots Secretariat, Awka, the Traditional Ruler of Umueri, HRH Igwe (Sir) Ben Emeka, described the appointments as recognition of outstanding service and dedication.
He praised the three appointees for their contributions to Anambra Patriots and the development of the state, urging them to justify the confidence reposed in them through excellent service.
Other members also congratulated the appointees, encouraging them to continue making the group and Anambra State proud.
The celebration attracted members of Anambra Patriots from across the state’s 21 local government areas.
