Iran’s supreme leader claims U.S. suffered ‘disgraceful defeat’ in regional conflict

Iran’s Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, has declared that the United States suffered a “disgraceful defeat” in what he described as a war against Iran.

In a written message delivered on Thursday and read on state television, Khamenei said the alleged failure of U.S. plans marked a turning point for the region.

“Today, two months after the largest military deployment and aggression by the world’s bullies in the region, and the United States’ disgraceful defeat in its plans, a new chapter is unfolding for the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz,” he stated.

His remarks come amid heightened tensions in the Persian Gulf and the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz, both of which remain central to global energy security and regional geopolitics.
