A political support group, Anambra Patriots, has urged political aspirants to make binding commitments to prove their sincerity and readiness to deliver good governance.

Convener of the group, Okey Ezeobi, made the call during an interactive session with APGA House of Representatives aspirant, Azubuike Augustine Ekweozor.

Ezeobi said the group remained committed to promoting accountability, quality representation and constructive engagement with political office seekers.
“We’ll continue to remind politicians of the promises they make to the people,” he said.

Chairman of the group, Damian Enekwechi, described Anambra Patriots as a self-sustaining political support organisation focused on people-oriented leadership.

Responding, Ekweozor, popularly known as Ide Umuawulu, sought the group’s support for his ambition to represent Awka North and South Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.

He identified accessibility, loyalty, integrity and philanthropy as qualities that distinguish him from other aspirants.

Ekweozor also unveiled a four-point agenda focused on agriculture, security, low-cost housing and infrastructure, promising quality representation and effective service delivery if elected.
