Federal lawmaker makes five millionaires in Anambra

A member representing Idemili North and South Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Uchenna Harris Okonkwo, has empowered five persons with ₦1 million each in Anambra State.

Hon. Okonkwo, son of late Senator Annie Okonkwo, who represented Anambra Central Senatorial District, made the donation in support of the Lucky Adimike Foundation, which also empowered 45 beneficiaries with ₦1 million each.

The empowerment exercise took place at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Awka-Etiti, in Idemili South Local Government Area of the state during the Faithspiration Initiative Night of Praise, Worship and Empowerment.

Speaking shortly after announcing his support, Hon. Okonkwo expressed gratitude to the founder of the Lucky Adimike Foundation, Mr Lucky Chinedu Adimike, for his commitment to empowering indigenes of Awka-Etiti and Idemili South at large.

He emphasised that youth empowerment remains the fastest route to sustainable development and economic growth in any community, adding that God would continue to strengthen and expand the foundation’s impact.

The lawmaker also commended the founder and spiritual leader of Faithspiration Initiative, Very Rev. Fr. Dr George Adimike, whom he described as a close and trusted friend.

According to him, he was invited to the programme by Fr. Adimike and was deeply impressed by what he witnessed, describing the event as life-transforming and a powerful platform for spreading the gospel at the grassroots.

Reaffirming his commitment to youth development, Hon. Okonkwo said his consistent empowerment initiatives across his constituency were driven by the need to stimulate economic growth and ensure sustainable development.

He described youths as the backbone of any progressive society, stressing that empowering them remains one of his core motivations for representing Idemili North and South at the National Assembly.

In his remarks, the founder of Lucky Adimike Foundation, Mr Lucky Chinedu Adimike, expressed profound appreciation to Hon. Okonkwo for his support, describing the lawmaker as hardworking, focused and committed to youth development despite his young age.

Similarly, the founder of Faithspiration Initiative, Very Rev. Fr. Dr George Adimike, thanked Hon. Okonkwo for honouring the programme with his presence and for his generosity towards the youths of Idemili South, while commending his effective representation at the National Assembly.
