In line with his familiarization and consultations efforts to feel the pulse of the constituents and identify with the grassroots of Anambra South Senatorial district extraction, the frontline aspirant for the upcoming by-election in the zone, High Chief Akai Egwuonwu stormed Awka to honour a wedding invitation.

Chief Egwuonwu who was physically present with his entourage at the wedding bash held on Saturday at Annabel Event Centre, Awka said he was there to felicitate with the Head of Service, Anambra State, Chief Barr Mrs Igwegbe as her daughter, Anne Chinazom weds her heartthrob, Albert Chidera.

Chief Egwuonwu wished the newly wedded couple well and asked God to bless their marriage with all good things of nature as he congratulated the Igwegbe’s family and their in-laws.
He used the opportunity to reassure the people of Anambra South Senatorial district and the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) stakeholders that the die is cast with the moment of decision-making fast approaching to take the destiny of the zone into their hands.
Chief Egwuonwu declared that his interest in political representation was born out of his desire for Anambra South Senatorial district to have loud voice at the Senate and to ensure proper and quality representation of the zone without compromise.
In their response, the immediate past Chief Medical Director of the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital (NAUTH), Nnewi, Prof Anthony Igwegbe and his wife expressed gratitude to Chief Egwuonwu for carving out time to attend their daughter’s wedding.
They wished him well in his political ambition to offer his services as the Senator to represent Anambra South Senatorial district after the forthcoming by-election.
