Aspirants under the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) have commended Chukwuma Soludo for adopting the Option A4 voting system for the party’s primaries ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Soludo made the announcement during the party’s South-East stakeholders’ meeting held at the International Convention Centre, Awka, stating that the method would enhance transparency, curb vote-buying, and ensure a level playing field.

Reacting, House of Representatives aspirant, Azubuike Ekweozor, described the move as a step toward fairness and grassroots participation. Similarly, Chukwudi Oli said the decision would strengthen party loyalty and reward active members.

Another aspirant, Chukwuemeka Orjiakor, noted that the system would end claims of “anointed candidates,” urging politicians to engage more with their constituencies.

Also speaking, Prince Okeke Chinemelu said the adoption of Option A4 would test the credibility and popularity of aspirants within party structures.
