A leadership crisis has reportedly hit the All Progressives Congress (APC) Governors’ Forum as about 20 governors allegedly passed a vote of no confidence in the forum’s chairman and Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma.
The governors, who reportedly met in Abuja on Thursday night, accused Uzodimma of financial impropriety and poor leadership. Sources said they resolved to replace him with Peter Mbah as chairman of the forum.
However, the Progressive Governors Forum denied the report, insisting that Uzodimma remains its chairman.
The development has stirred fresh tension within the ruling APC, with political observers monitoring possible intervention from President Bola Tinubu.
