The Anambra State Commissioner for Industry, Hon. Christian Udechukwu, has commended Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo for what he described as a massive transformation across the state, saying that the Governor deserves a second term to consolidate on his achievements.
Speaking at the Nnewi North secretariat during the inauguration of the Nnewi North Re-election Campaign Council, Udechukwu maintained that Soludo’s administration had shown vision, focus, and purposeful leadership, insisting that the November 8 governorship poll would deliver the Governor a resounding victory.
He highlighted the Governor’s record in education, healthcare, infrastructure, social reengineering, industrialization, and economic reforms, noting that Anambra people had demonstrated appreciation for these strides in the just-concluded by-election which produced Senator Emma Nwachukwu (Onodugo) under the APGA platform.
“On the strength of Mr. Governor’s performance, Ndi Anambra are grateful. The by-election proved it, and we are confident that the governorship election will end in a landslide victory,” Udechukwu declared.
The commissioner said that Soludo’s government has introduced unprecedented social policies, including free education from kindergarten to senior secondary school, ensuring that no child in Anambra is denied access to learning because of poverty.
He added that students who excel at the secondary level are also supported with federal scholarships and bursaries to complete their university education.
In the health sector, Udechukwu disclosed that all public hospitals now offer free delivery services for expectant mothers. He posed a rhetorical question to voters: “Having seen how this government has secured the future of your children, would you vote against your own future?”
On security, he said the Soludo-led administration has established the toughest security framework in the country, anchored on the philosophy of community participation. He cited the Agụnaechemba volunteer corps working alongside national security agencies, stressing that communities and individuals are held accountable for shielding criminals.
“In Anambra, if criminals are harbored in a forest, it becomes government property. If knowingly harbored in a house, that house becomes government property. We operate a zero-tolerance policy to insecurity. If you see something, say something,” he cautioned.
Udechukwu expressed confidence that the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) would sweep the polls in November, noting that the party enjoys both grassroots support and collaboration with progressive forces at the national level.
