The suspect with the fresh female breast
Security operatives in Anambra State have arrested a 25-year-old man, identified as Samuel Eze, for being in possession of a freshly severed female breast.
The arrest was made on Sunday, July 6, 2025, at about 3:30 p.m. in the Awada area of Obosi by a Joint Security Team comprising personnel from the Awada Police Division and the Anambra Vigilante Group (AVG) during a routine patrol along Jude Onyekwere Street.
According to a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Ikenga Tochukwu, the breast was immediately recovered from the suspect and deposited at the morgue for preservation.
The suspect is currently undergoing interrogation, while investigations continue in preparation for prosecution.
In a related development, operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of the Anambra State Police Command, acting on credible intelligence, rescued a kidnapped truck driver at about 12:45 p.m. on Friday, July 4.
The officers also recovered a truck loaded with custard powder valued at ₦9.5 million, which had been diverted from its original delivery destination in Asaba, Delta State.
Three suspects arrested in connection with the kidnapping and theft were identified as Udegenyi Ugochukwu (38), Anayochukwu Okonkwo (47), and Good Odigili (47).
During interrogation, the suspects confessed that they abducted the driver, tied him up in a bush, and diverted the consignment to Enugwu-Ukwu in Anambra State.
Meanwhile, a custom-coloured Toyota Sienna with registration number 736 JP was recovered by officers of the Obosi Police Division at about 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 5, during a patrol along the Okpuno–Umuota Village road in Obosi.
The suspected stolen and abandoned vehicle bears the inscription “Forum of Accountants, Delta State.”
The Command has called on the rightful owner to come forward with valid proof of ownership for verification and possible collection.
The Anambra State Police Command reiterated its commitment to crime prevention and public safety, assuring residents that joint surveillance and patrol operations are ongoing across the state.
The operations are being conducted in collaboration with the Military, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Department of State Services (DSS), Nigeria Immigration Service, and the Anambra Vigilante Group (AVG).
