Members of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) have congratulated Hon. Dozie Nwankwo (Onyendozi) following his victory in the party’s primary election for the Anambra Central Senatorial District ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Nwankwo, a former two-term member of the House of Representatives, reportedly secured the highest number of votes among APGA senatorial aspirants during the primary.

In a statement, he thanked APGA leaders, including Governor Chukwuma Soludo, the party’s National Chairman, Barr. Sly Ezeokenwa, and members across the state for their support. He also called on party faithful, youths, women and supporters to remain united and committed ahead of the main election.

Several support groups and community leaders have also expressed confidence in Nwankwo’s candidacy, citing his contributions to education, youth empowerment, skills acquisition, healthcare outreach and ICT development.

Speaking on behalf of the Youths/Women Alliance for Good Governance, Dr. Chukwuma Agubata described Nwankwo as a grassroots-oriented leader whose empowerment programmes have positively impacted many residents.

Community stakeholders also highlighted projects associated with the former lawmaker, including educational support initiatives and youth development programmes, while urging voters in Anambra Central to participate actively in the electoral process.

Supporters say Nwankwo’s Senate ambition is aimed at expanding his legislative and developmental contributions to the district and the state.
