The First Lady of Anambra State, Dr. Mrs. Nonye Soludo, has ordered the transfer of a 10-year-old boy allegedly abused by his guardians in Awada, Obosi, to a better medical facility for specialized treatment.

Reacting to the disturbing incident, Mrs. Soludo described the alleged abuse as heartbreaking and unacceptable, stressing that no child deserves such cruelty.

She disclosed that she had consulted the State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Afam Obidike, to ensure the boy receives comprehensive medical care. She also pledged to sponsor his rehabilitation and recovery.

The First Lady further called for the prosecution of all those connected to the alleged abuse, including the suspect’s husband, insisting that those responsible must face the full weight of the law.

She reaffirmed the state’s zero-tolerance stance on child and gender-based abuse and urged residents to promptly report cases of violence and maltreatment.
