The Awka-Etiti Renaissance Forum (ARF) has warned the public to stop sharing graphic images of late Chief Lucky Chinedu Adimike, popularly known as Egonejije, on social media and other platforms.

In a statement, the group described Adimike, a member of its governing council, as a respected son of Awka-Etiti, humanitarian and philanthropist whose generosity touched many lives.

ARF condemned the circulation of disturbing photographs linked to his death, saying such images disrespect the deceased and cause further pain to his family and loved ones.

The group urged media organisations, bloggers and social media users to remove the images and allow the family to mourn in peace.

According to ARF, Adimike was widely known for supporting education, healthcare, empowerment programmes, widows and vulnerable persons in Awka-Etiti and beyond.

The forum also cautioned the public against making statements capable of affecting ongoing police investigations into the circumstances surrounding his death.

ARF called on security agencies to ensure a thorough investigation and bring anyone found responsible to justice, while urging residents and admirers of the late philanthropist to remain calm and law-abiding.
