Soludo swears in 18 commissioners, urges prudence, teamwork

Governor Chukwuma Soludo has sworn in 18 new commissioners and top government officials, urging them to embrace prudence, teamwork and accountability in service to the people of Anambra State.


Speaking during the inauguration at the Executive Council Chambers, Light House, Awka, Soludo described the appointments as a call to hard work and sacrifice, stressing that governance decisions would affect over nine million residents.


Among those sworn in were Ben Odoemena (Agriculture), Chukwukadibia Okoye (Budget and Economic Planning), Dr. Ekene Ogugua (Education), Dr. Afam Obidike (Health), Prof. Offornze Amucheazi (Lands), Engr. Okey Ezeobi (Works and Infrastructure), Eddy Ibuzo (Transport), Esther Onyekesi (Women Affairs) and Patrick Agha (Youth Development and Sports).
Also inaugurated were heads of key agencies including Anambra Road Traffic Management Agency, Awka Capital Territory Development Authority and the state ICT Agency.
The inauguration followed their screening and confirmation by the Anambra State House of Assembly and marks the rollout of Soludo’s “Team Solution 2.0” administration after the dissolution of the previous cabinet.
