The victims — Rev. Ayuba Choji, his wife Chundung, and their children Cyril and Endurance — were reportedly murdered when armed assailants stormed Gako village in Riyom Local Government Area late Sunday night.
Residents said the attackers opened fire, forcing people to flee for safety amid panic.
Local leaders condemned the killings, describing them as part of recurring violence in rural communities. They also alleged that farmlands were destroyed in nearby areas, worsening hardship for farmers.
Community representatives have called on security agencies to intensify efforts to protect lives and prevent further attacks.
