The Anambra State chapter of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) has finalised plans to honour notable individuals for their contributions to society.

The event, scheduled in Awka, will recognise personalities across security, media, politics, business and humanitarian services.

Dr Ify Aronu
Among the awardees are the State Commissioner of Police, Ikioye Orutugu; Chief Press Secretary to Governor Charles Soludo, Christian Aburime; entrepreneur Lovebite; and former senator Uche Ekwunife.
Others include Nollywood actress Ngozi Ezeonu and broadcaster Ify Aronu, alongside several figures in education and public service.
NAWOJ Chairperson, Tochukwu Ifejika, said the awards aim to celebrate excellence and inspire women, in line with activities marking International Women’s Day.
She also commended Governor Soludo and his wife, Nonye Soludo, for supporting women’s inclusion and the media.
