The Spiritual Head of Soul Revival Outreach, Nnewi, Anambra State, Prophet Iyke Uzukwu has commended the American President, Donald Trump for beaming his searchlight to Africa and Nigeria in particular.
Uzukwu, an Anambra-based Prophet said the American President’s intension to assist in fighting terrorism in Nigeria is a welcome development and should not be seen as the action of a meddlesome interloper.
“Our leaders for over a decade could not stop insurgency in Nigeria. They rather use the opportunity to siphon funds, claiming they purchase weapons. They are busy negotiating with the bandits without any good result. Billions of naira have been spent in the name of negotiations.
“Since they can’t get it right, they should welcome help to deal with the terrorists. And it’s obvious that corruption has been the hinderance towards winning the insurgency war. Every administration gives one reason or the other as responsible for not winning the insurgency war but refuses to expose those behind the failure.
“Nigerians are being slaughtered every day like mere domestic animals. Even in some Western countries animals have their right to live and be well treated, “he noted.
Uzukwu wondered why some Christians allegedly said that insurgency was not against Christian faith while it’s obvious, according to him, that Christians are targeted.
He cited a Christian young lady, Deborah who he said was killed in Sokoto sometimes ago while the killers walk freely on the streets of Sokoto without being brought to book.
He maintained that insurgency had rendered many individuals in different communities across Nigeria, especially the North, homeless. He said many in the Eastern part of Nigeria had fled their homes because of criminal elements.
He insisted that many Christians in the North profess their faith in fear whereas the leaders do not do much to change the narrative.
“However, the truth must be told that the deadly insurgency was organized by Western countries to end the era of former President Goodluck Jonathan who refused to sign gay marriage because it’s not in our culture, Christian or Muslim, “he alleged.
He also alleged that the former British Prime Minister persuaded the North to make sure Jonathan didn’t continue in office.
The Prophet alleged that some Western countries had encouraged insurgency in Nigeria by supplying them weapons secretly.
Prophet Uzukwu further alleged that herdsmen in Nigeria are always protected by the law enforcement officers even when they attack farmers or other victims. He said herdsmen should be made to face justice anytime they violate the law.
He pleaded with President Trump to investigate the root causes of insurgency in Nigeria and herdsmen attack to deal with them decisively.
