I’ve come to move Nkwelle-Ezunaka forward — new PG

The newly elected President General of Nkwelle-Ezunaka Community in Oyi Local Government Area of Anambra State, Ogbuefi Vitalis Nwakobi, also known as Ozo Ugosinachi I of Nkwelle, has declared that his central mission in office is to move the community forward.


Ogbuefi Nwakobi made this declaration recently at Ifite Village, Nkwelle-Ezunaka, during the burial ceremony of the late Chief Mozie Paul Chukwuma Ezenwanne, popularly called Negro.

Speaking to community members and guests, the President General said his emergence as the leader of Nkwelle-Ezunaka was inspired by his passion to promote unity, peace and sustainable development across the town.

He said that his administration would prioritize people-oriented leadership, collective progress and the strengthening of communal bonds.


He expressed deep appreciation to the Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, for his commitment to grassroots development, and thanked the entire people of Nkwelle-Ezunaka for the trust, love and overwhelming support shown to him during the election.

He appealed to them to continue to support his leadership throughout his tenure in order to achieve meaningful growth and transformation.


Describing Nkwelle-Ezunaka as a peaceful community, Ogbuefi Nwakobi pledged to sustain and improve the existing peace and progress in the town, noting that peace remains the foundation upon which any lasting development can thrive.

He assured that his leadership would be inclusive and focused on initiatives that would uplift the social and economic wellbeing of the people.


The President General also used the occasion to sympathize with the family of the deceased, late Chief Mozie Paul Chukwuma Ezenwanne, who died at the age of 77. He urged the family to bear the loss with fortitude, reminding them that God gives and takes according to His divine will.


He described the late Chief Ezenwanne as a peaceful and respected man whose life positively impacted the community. He prayed for God to grant the family the strength to bear the loss and to replenish all that they expended in giving their father a befitting burial.


The burial ceremony drew traditional rulers, community leaders, friends, relatives and well-wishers from far and near, who came to pay their last respects to the deceased and to identify with his family, while also listening to the vision of the newly elected President General for a more united and progressive Nkwelle-Ezunaka.
