Intercessory Mercy of God Church International (IMCGI), Awka Headquarters, on Sunday held its 2025 Annual Thanksgiving Service in an atmosphere of joy, gratitude and deep spiritual fervour.
A major highlight of the service was the presentation of a ram by the Great Men’s Fellowship as a symbolic totem of their 2025 annual thanksgiving offering, drawing admiration from the congregation and adding colour to the celebration.
The thanksgiving service witnessed active and heartfelt participation from all arms of the church. Members of the Women Wing, the Youth Fellowship and the Choir offered songs of praise and thanksgiving, while members and families from the Aguleri and Asaba branches also made their offerings, contributing to the rich and vibrant nature of the service.
In his charge and prophetic declarations, the Spiritual Superintendent of the church, Major Prophet Augustine Onyekachi Obi, expressed profound joy over the spirit of gratitude shown by members and guests. Citing Luke 17:11–19, he pronounced powerful blessings upon the congregation.
“All of you that returned to give God thanks are hereby cleansed of every infirmity and made whole,” he declared. “None of you shall die prematurely. You shall enter the year 2026 in sound health and economic abundance.”
The fiery cleric, fondly referred to by members as the “Calamity Stopper” for the potency of his prophecies, further sealed the declarations with a resounding affirmation, stating that the blessings of those who responded in faith were permanently settled.
The thanksgiving service ended on a high note of praise, joy and renewed hope, as members returned home glorifying God for His faithfulness and mercy.
