5 countries ready to give Nigerians five-year multiple-entry visas

From The Nijasun News Desk

Nigerians who frequently travel abroad for business, tourism, family visits and other legitimate purposes can obtain five-year multiple-entry visas from some countries, offering travellers the opportunity to make repeated visits without applying for a fresh visa each time.

The countries include the United Kingdom, Schengen Area, India, South Africa and the United Arab Emirates.

However, obtaining a five-year visa is not automatic, as approval depends on the visa category, travel history, financial capacity, purpose of travel and compliance with immigration requirements.

United Kingdom

The United Kingdom offers Standard Visitor Visas valid for two, five or 10 years.

A five-year Standard Visitor Visa allows eligible travellers to make multiple visits during its validity period, although visitors are generally permitted to stay for up to six months on each visit.

Applicants must demonstrate that they are genuine visitors and meet the country’s financial and immigration requirements.

Schengen Area

Eligible Nigerians with strong and compliant travel histories can qualify for five-year multiple-entry Schengen visas.

The visa allows travel within the Schengen Area, but it does not permit holders to live in Europe for five years.

Travellers are generally limited to 90 days within any 180-day period across the Schengen Area.

India

India also offers long-term multiple-entry visas to eligible Nigerian travellers for purposes including tourism and business.

A five-year visa can benefit Nigerians who have regular business interests, family connections or other legitimate reasons to travel to India repeatedly.

Applicants must satisfy the relevant visa requirements, with factors such as travel purpose, financial circumstances and previous travel history potentially considered.

South Africa

South Africa provides qualifying Nigerian businesspeople with access to five-year multiple-entry visas.

The facility is designed to make travel easier for Nigerians who frequently visit the country for business meetings, investment, trade and other professional activities.

Applicants must demonstrate a legitimate reason for frequent travel and satisfy the applicable requirements.

United Arab Emirates

The United Arab Emirates offers a five-year multiple-entry tourist visa to eligible applicants of all nationalities, including Nigerians.

The visa permits multiple entries during its validity period, with stays of up to 90 days per visit under the applicable rules.

The facility can be particularly useful for Nigerians who regularly visit the UAE for tourism, business and family-related purposes.

Five-year visa not automatic

Although these countries offer opportunities for Nigerians to obtain long-term multiple-entry visas, holding a Nigerian passport does not guarantee approval.

Visa authorities assess applications individually, considering factors including travel history, financial capacity, purpose of travel and previous compliance with immigration conditions.

Applicants with credible documentation and a record of complying with visa conditions may have stronger grounds when seeking long-term multiple-entry visas.
