2027 HoR: Support DNA zoning to Dunukofia – Congress urges stakeholders

The Dunukofia National Congress has appealed to stakeholders in Anaocha and Njikoka Local Government Areas to support the zoning of the 2027 House of Representatives seat for the Dunukofia, Njikoka and Anaocha (DNA) federal constituency to Dunukofia LGA.

In a statement, the group said the call was based on equity, fairness and unity among the three councils that make up the constituency.

According to the Congress, Anaocha and Njikoka have previously produced representatives for the federal constituency, while Dunukofia is yet to occupy the seat since the constituency was created.

The group described the House of Representatives position as a collective voice for the DNA people and urged political leaders, traditional rulers and stakeholders to allow Dunukofia produce the next representative in 2027.

It added that zoning the seat to Dunukofia would strengthen brotherhood, inclusion and trust among the communities within the constituency.
