Children of Faith Community Children Home, Awka, were filled with joy on Saturday as fathers of Our Savior Anglican Church, Awka, visited the orphanage with food items, toiletries and cash gifts to mark the 2026 Father’s Sunday celebration.

Leader of the group and Chairman of the Church’s Christian Men’s Fellowship, Dr. Izuchukwu Okeke, said the visit was aimed at identifying with the children, showing them love and giving them a sense of belonging.

According to him, the fathers considered the children their own and were committed to supporting their welfare as part of their Christian responsibility.

Responding, the home’s Administrator, Ifenyinwa Onuora, thanked the church members for their generosity, noting that the donations would greatly support the children’s wellbeing.

The visit featured songs, prayers by the children and presentation of gifts. Activities marking Father’s Week will conclude on Sunday with a special church service and thanksgiving.
