Wife of the Anambra State Governor, Dr. Nonye Soludo, has urged residents to prioritise their health by embracing healthy lifestyles and regular medical checks to prevent high blood pressure.
Speaking during activities marking Hypertension Awareness Month, Soludo described hypertension as a “silent killer” that often shows no obvious symptoms but can be detected early and properly managed.
She advised residents to check their blood pressure regularly, reduce salt intake, eat healthy meals, stay physically active and avoid excessive alcohol consumption and smoking.
The governor’s wife also encouraged people to manage stress, get enough rest and seek medical attention when necessary.
According to her, a healthy Anambra begins with healthy families and healthy individuals.
