The Accountant General of Anambra State, Mr. Joachin Achor, has urged women to emulate the wife of the state Governor, Dr. Nonye Soludo, for promoting physical fitness, healthy eating and disease prevention.

Achor, who spoke in Awka, congratulated Soludo on winning the 2026 BudgIT Active Citizens Award for Health Activism, describing the honour as a national endorsement of her long-standing commitment to preventive healthcare and community wellness.

He said her Healthy Living With Nonye Soludo Initiative had created measurable impact across communities and promoted healthy lifestyles in the state.

“I’m proud of Dr. Nonye Soludo for bringing Anambra again to national limelight by winning the 2026 BudgIT Active Citizens Award,” Achor said.

He added that the award demonstrated how consistency, compassion and purposeful service could create meaningful change.
