Preparations are in top gear for the 2026 Made-in-Nigeria, Made-in-Aba Product Expo, as the Abia State Government moves to showcase the state’s growing manufacturing and business potential.
The five-day Expo will hold from September 22 to 26, 2026, at the International Conference Centre, Umuahia, under the theme, “Showcasing South-East Enterprise, Driving Investment and Accelerating Made-in-Nigeria.”
Organised by the Abia State Government in partnership with the National Brands Development and Made-in-Nigeria Project Office, the event will bring together manufacturers, entrepreneurs, investors, buyers and other business stakeholders.
Commissioner for Industry and SMEs, Mazi Michael Enyinnaya Akpara, said the Expo would provide opportunities for participants to access new markets, attract investment and establish valuable business partnerships.
He said activities would include product exhibitions, an Investment and Business Forum, business-to-business meetings, MSME clinics, and cultural and food showcases, with exhibitors expected from across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
Akpara disclosed that the Expo Planning and Implementation Committee had been inaugurated, while registration was open to manufacturers, entrepreneurs and artisans from Abia and other parts of the South-East.
Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Chief Okey Kanu, assured the organisers of extensive publicity, saying his Ministry would work to ensure the Expo attracts participants, investors and buyers from far and wide.
The Expo is expected to boost the visibility and market access of local businesses while further promoting Made-in-Aba as a symbol of originality, creativity, quality and Nigerian enterprise.
