The Anambra State Police Command has continued to enjoy an outpouring of goodwill and support from stakeholders following the promotion and decoration of the Commissioner of Police, AIG Ikioye Orutugu, fwc, mnips, PhD, as an Assistant Inspector-General of Police.
In a remarkable show of appreciation for the Command’s achievements under his leadership, stakeholders have embarked on a facelift of the Anambra State Police Command Headquarters in Awka.
The initiative is aimed at recognizing the Command’s commitment to professional policing, improved public safety, and stronger police-community relations.
The development reflects the growing confidence reposed in the Nigeria Police Force in Anambra State and highlights the importance of sustained collaboration between the Police and key stakeholders in promoting security, peace, and development across the state.
The Command described the gesture as a strong vote of confidence and expressed profound appreciation to the stakeholders for their generosity and support.
It noted that the initiative would further inspire officers and men to sustain ongoing reforms, enhance operational effectiveness, and improve service delivery.
Reaffirming its commitment to consolidating existing security gains, the Command pledged to deepen community partnership and remain steadfast in protecting lives and property throughout Anambra State.
It also urged residents to continue supporting the Police with credible and timely information to strengthen ongoing efforts aimed at preventing and combating crime.
