NSCDC Anambra State command remembers family of deceased officer

The State Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Anambra State Command, Maku Olatunde has reiterated the commitment of NSCDC in prioritizing the welfare of its officers and recognize the importance of supporting their families during difficult times.

The NSCDC State helmsman said this on Tuesday February 13, 2024 during the presentation of the command’s welfare package to the family and next of kin of late Corps Assistant I ( CA I) Pascal Nnaegbuna, a deceased officer of the command.

The ceremony witnessed by very senior officers of the command took place at the Command Headquarters in Awka, where the wife of the officer who lost his life while serving in the line of duty received the package from the State Commandant on behalf of the Commandant General of NSCDC, Ahmed Abubakar Audi, as part of CG’s Welfare Scheme.

In his speech , Comdt. Maku expressed his gratitude and commended the CG for his efforts in improving the welfare of personnel of the Corps . He admonished the beneficiary to make judicious use of the fund for their own well-being.

“This generous act demonstrates the commitment of the CG to support the families of officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice while in service. The essence is to provide financial support to the families left behind by fallen officers. Aside from acknowledging their sacrifice, it also helps ease the burden they face in the absence of their loved ones, “he said.

Responding, Mrs Nnaegbuna expressed her heartfelt appreciation to the Commandant General for the welfare package and assured that the money would be used wisely.
