Rev. Fr. Ikezure Jeremiah has shared how an encounter with Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Obimma, popularly known as Fr. Ebube Muonso, inspired what he described as his family’s liberation from years of affliction and shaped his priestly ministry.
Speaking during an interview, Fr. Jeremiah said his ministry, Divine Mercy Eucharistic Encounter Ministry, was founded five years ago after enduring years of personal and family challenges.
He recalled that his mother suffered a stroke and lost her speech for several years before her death, while his father and elder brother also battled serious illnesses.
According to him, despite pressure from relatives to seek traditional remedies, his father remained committed to the Christian faith.
Fr. Jeremiah said a major turning point came after attending one of Fr. Ebube Muonso’s crusades, where the priest prayed for him and assured him that God would fight his battles.
He believes the encounter strengthened his faith and inspired his mission of praying for the healing and liberation of families.
The Catholic priest said his ministry focuses on prayer, healing, Eucharistic devotion and helping people deepen their relationship with God.
He recently expanded his evangelism through social media to reach a wider audience.
Currently serving at St. Francis Parish, Abagana, Fr. Jeremiah urged young people to return to God, embrace prayer and pursue holiness, stressing that faith remains the key to overcoming life’s challenges.
