The National Vice Chairman (South-East) of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Rev. Augustine Ehiemere, has congratulated the party’s immediate past National Chairman and Chairman Emeritus, Chief Victor Ike Oye, on the occasion of his 70th birthday.
In a statement issued on Saturday, Ehiemere described Oye as an exceptional leader whose vision, integrity, and administrative competence helped strengthen APGA and reposition it as a formidable political party.
He recalled that during his tenure as APGA Chairman in Abia State, some political opponents allegedly offered Oye ₦25 million to facilitate his removal from office.
According to Ehiemere, Oye rejected the offer and stood by the party’s constitution, due process, and his mandate.
Ehiemere also praised Oye’s achievements as National Chairman, particularly the construction of APGA’s permanent National Secretariat in Abuja and the regional secretariat in Awka, Anambra State, describing them as lasting legacies of transparent and visionary leadership.
He further described Oye as a disciplined administrator, honest leader, and committed party man whose contributions have positively impacted APGA and inspired many across the country.
Congratulating the former national chairman on his milestone birthday, Ehiemere prayed for God’s continued blessings, good health, wisdom, and strength as he continues to serve the party and the nation.
