The stolen motorcycle
Police operatives attached to the Otolo- Nnewi Police Station on May 29, 2025 arrested one Nnaji Chukwuka ‘M’ aged 20 years who is a member of an armed robbery gang and motorcycle snatcher syndicate.
Police said the robbery gang terrorized Nnewichi, Nnewi North Local Government Area. The report said one machete and one Honda Cub 120 motorcycle were recovered from the suspect.
According to the Anamabra State Police Command Police Public Relations Officer, Mr Tochukwu Ikenga (Superintendent of Police) the arrest followed painstaking efforts of the operatives who had monitored the pattern of the criminal operations and based on a series of complaints about the activities of the gang in the area.
He said the suspect has made useful statements that is aiding the investigation for possible arrest of the other gang members.
He disclosed that the owner of the stolen motorcycle has been identified and the bike released accordingly.
