The recent visit of APC flagbearer, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, to Fada Ebube Muonso has set social media abuzz. Speculations have surged, with some hastily assuming the priest has thrown his weight behind him.
Fr. Ebube Muonso is a priest, not a politician. His sacred calling is to serve God and the people, all people regardless of their party affiliation, status, or political ambition. His Parish and Ministry are open to everyone. That is the heart of true spiritual leadership.
A visit to a priest does not equal an endorsement. In a time when tensions are high and election is around the corner, we must resist the urge to drag the altar into the arena of politics.
Fr. Ebube Muonso has always been consistent in his calling, to preach Christ, to intercede for the people, and to offer guidance rooted in prayer, not politics.
Even the APC flagbearer, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, clarified that his visit was neither politically driven nor financially motivated. It was, in his words, a humble recognition of a spiritual father whose values and sacrifices align with the hope for a better Anambra.
It is deeply disheartening that certain mischievous elements have begun to circulate false claims suggesting Fr. Ebube Muonso has endorsed a candidate. This is misleading and must be disregarded.
