The sessions, which are in line with the vision of the Inspector-General of Police to strengthen community-based policing and strategic partnerships, will bring together traditional rulers, local government chairmen, presidents-general, youth and women leaders, religious leaders, market leaders and other key stakeholders.

According to the Anambra State Police Command, the engagements are aimed at identifying prevailing security challenges, enhancing intelligence-led policing and strengthening collaboration between the police and communities in preventing crime and maintaining public safety.

The first session will hold in the Anambra South Senatorial District at Anaedo Hall, Nnewi, on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at 12 noon.

The Anambra North session is scheduled for Thursday, August 13, at the Umueri Civic Centre, also at 12 noon.

The final session for the Anambra Central Senatorial District will take place on Friday, August 14, at the Dora Akunyili Women Development Centre, Awka, at 12 noon.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Anambra State Command, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, said the Commissioner of Police urged all invited stakeholders to attend and actively participate in the engagements.

He said the sessions would provide an opportunity for communities and the police to jointly deliberate on security concerns and develop stronger partnerships for crime prevention.

The command said the initiative was also designed to foster sustained cooperation between security agencies and communities in addressing emerging security threats and consolidating peace across Anambra State.
