The Igbodike Movement has praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for facilitating the evacuation of 258 Nigerian citizens from South Africa and securing the transfer of 98 Nigerians serving jail terms in Ethiopia back to the country.
In a statement signed by its National Coordinator, Dr. Peter Nwankwo, made available to the press, the group described the move as a demonstration of the President’s commitment to the welfare, dignity and protection of Nigerians, regardless of ethnic, religious or regional affiliation.
The Movement noted that many of those rescued and repatriated are of Igbo extraction, saying the development underscores Tinubu’s commitment to national unity and inclusiveness.
According to the group, the President’s swift intervention reflects compassion, responsible leadership and a genuine concern for Nigerians facing challenges abroad.
It stated that the action has further strengthened confidence in the government and reassured Nigerians in the diaspora that their country remains committed to their welfare.
The Igbodike Movement also called on Ndigbo and other Nigerians to continue supporting the administration’s efforts to build a safer, more united and prosperous nation.
The group urged citizens to rally behind President Tinubu and support his bid for a second term, maintaining that his leadership style and commitment to the wellbeing of Nigerians make him deserving of continued support.
