The Anambra State Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Pauline Ojisua, has urged Nigerians to remain committed to building a stronger, united and prosperous nation.

She made the call on Friday during a brief ceremony marking the 53rd anniversary of the NYSC at the Engr. Ebele Ofunneamaka Okeke Federal Secretariat Complex in Anambra State.

Ojisua said the scheme had continued to promote national unity, youth development and selfless service since its establishment.

According to her, the low-key celebration was due to the elaborate activities held during the 50th anniversary celebration.
She appreciated God for the growth and achievements of the scheme and commended stakeholders, staff and corps members for their contributions to its success.

The event featured a lecture by Assistant Director, CDS, Mr. Anthony Ibekwe, goodwill messages and cutting of the anniversary cake.
