The Nigerian Optometric Association (NOA) has nominated the Vice Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Prof. Bond Anyaehie, for its Honorary Fellowship award.
Chairman of the association’s Education Committee, Dr. Augustine Akujobi, disclosed this during a courtesy visit to the Vice Chancellor’s office.
Akujobi said the honour was in recognition of the VC’s contributions to academic and institutional development, as well as his reforms and innovations since assuming office.
He also presented an invitation to the association’s forthcoming Annual Scientific Conference and Vision Expo, organized in collaboration with the African Council of Optometry.
Responding, Anyaehie appreciated the association for the recognition and reaffirmed the university’s commitment to supporting professional bodies and healthcare-related collaborations.
