Onuoha becomes first female NCOS controller in Anambra

The Controller-General of Corrections has approved the deployment of CC Ezinne Onuoha as the new Controller of Corrections, Anambra State Command, following the retirement of CC Ike Anslem.
Onuoha’s appointment makes her the first female to head the Command.


At the handover ceremony in Awka, the outgoing Controller thanked officers for their support, urging them to extend the same cooperation to his successor.


In her remarks, Onuoha described her appointment as a call to greater responsibility, pledging to build on existing achievements while strengthening security, operations, and staff welfare. She also emphasized discipline, professionalism, and respect for human rights.
The ceremony featured the signing of handover notes and interaction with senior officers.
