Hon. Ifeanyi Peter Uzokwe, representing Nnewi North, Nnewi South and Ekwusigo Federal Constituency, says his stewardship reflects a blend of legislative input and grassroots development.

Speaking during an interactive session with stakeholders of the Federation of Old Nnewi Division (FOND) in Nnewi, the lawmaker said he has sponsored and supported bills and motions aimed at economic growth, infrastructure and citizens’ welfare, with emphasis on small and medium-scale enterprises.

He noted his participation in oversight functions to ensure accountability in government agencies.

Within the constituency, Uzokwe listed projects including road rehabilitation, electrification and provision of boreholes, alongside educational support through scholarships, learning materials and school upgrades.

He also highlighted youth and women empowerment programmes, skills acquisition initiatives and medical outreaches, with another round scheduled for April 9–12 across selected hospitals in the constituency.

Uzokwe reaffirmed his commitment to empowering constituents for self-reliance, stressing the importance of skill acquisition for youths.

FOND stakeholders, in their remarks, reiterated the need for equity and rotational representation among the three local government areas, while emphasizing sustained engagement between leaders and the people.
