The Federal Government has confirmed the arrival of 100 new buses as part of efforts to address transportation challenges and improve mobility across the country.

Minister for Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, disclosed this in a Facebook post on Sunday, outlining ongoing measures to ease pressure on the nation’s road transport system.

According to the minister, the newly delivered 29-seater buses form part of a broader procurement plan aimed at expanding public transport capacity and enhancing commuter experience.

He explained that the initiative involves a total of 300 buses, to be delivered in phases. While the first batch of 100 buses has already arrived, a second batch is expected in August, with the final delivery scheduled for November.

Kwakye Ofosu noted that the deployment of the buses is expected to gradually ease congestion, particularly during peak travel periods when overcrowding and delays are most common.

The government expressed optimism that the intervention will significantly improve transportation conditions and provide relief for commuters nationwide.
